Cracking performance by Paul Howard in the Milton Keynes half marathon yesterday!

Paul completed the Milton Keynes half marathon in sweltering temperatures yesterday, despite being dressed in full wolf costume!

It was a pleasure to cheer Paul on his way around the course. He completed it with a smile on his face throughout, which won him a lot of friends. Cheering him on at the home straights, waving our Lupus UK banners, competitors were asking us how Paul was doing & had he finished!

My husband tells me we cycled the best part of 10 miles yesterday - with the aid of factor 50 clothes, hat, & brolly of course! I wouldn't have believed I was capable of that!

You are a real inspiration Paul & it was a pleasure to meet you.

Hi PMRpro ,

I got a photo with sarahsch at the end of the race. If she is happy for me to, I could add it to her post?

Hi sarahsch ,

It was so amazing to have you and your family there to support me yesterday. It meant so much! I couldn't believe that you had even made banners with my name on! If I wasn't so dehydrated by the end then I could have cried. It was so nice to meet you - I'm just sorry that I was so sweaty and smelly so I couldn't give you a hug.

That’s great to hear! Well done to Paul. Must have been very unpleasant as a wolf though!

Paul - do you have the link for us to sponsor you please. I planned to them forget then lost it! 🙄

Hi Melba1 ,

It was certainly the most challenging half marathon I have done so far. The heat made it very difficult.

Thank you so much for your kind offer to sponsor me. The link is justgiving.com/fundraising/...
