A few days ago i noticed these very itchy small bumps on my chest and back. I just go home from travelling in south east asia (Cambodia and Kuala Lumpur) so i’m not sure it that had anything to do with it.

Extremely itchy small bumps
This is probably little help to your situation, but I've had exactly the same thing over the past week following sun exposure - in UK. On my face, neck, arms. I thought at first it was out of date sun cream, but same happened with new bottle. Very itchy indeed and skin feeling rough and tight. Tried anti histamine tablets with no improvement. Have been washing skin with plain water and applying Dermol cream to worse bits - which has helped. Haven't bothered with GP as yet as it's a three week wait for "non urgent" appointments. Good luck with getting it treated - the itching is awful I know!
Hi hilaryamandaa ,
Have you ever had a skin reaction like this before? Are you able to contact your GP, specialist nurse or pharmacist for advice about treatment?
We have an article on our website about coping with itchy rashes which you may find helpful - lupusuk.org.uk/coping-with-...
I get the same thing following sun exposure. My dermatologist prescribed a short term steroid cream followed by an hydrocortisone 2.5% ointment which worked wonders! Generally the hydrocortisone is all I need; it helps tremendously given how itchy the rash is. I will scratch my skin bloody before even realize I'm scratching. Also, try cold packs or ice for the itch, and try to keep showers as cool as possible. Heat tends to make it worse. Good luck.
