A little scared about side affects

Hello nanno...i get the impression our NHS regulators are v cautious re forteo (teriparatide)...i had to go googling in order to understand it’s an alternative osteoporosis treatment. But I’m always interested in osteoporosis treatments, so am glad you posted.

I took years to agree to nhs osteoporosis treatment with bisphosphonates because the side effects put me off...& i’d hoped conscientious lifestyle management might improve my bone density...well, several years on my rate of loss of density remained to fast to go untreated, and my barretts oesophagus + other chronic upper GI conditiins qualified me for IV bisphosphonate (zoledronate in my case) rather than oral versions. Even so, the side effects spooked me. But i’m about to have my 3rd annual infusion and haven’t experienced any bad stuff from them yet...

I am very much relating to your concerns, and i hope someone with experience of forteo replies
