Come off quinoric very suddenly

Hi everyone, about week and half ago I went to see my rheumy for a check up and told him having lots of pain in my right arm.

Any way I ask is true what they say quinoric because my tinnitus so bad these days ,we both agree to come off them anyway tinnitus is still here and now I have chest pains all the time, and my joints are worse and back is worst .

I was on planquin years ago had no problems then

Hi I cannot tolerate the brand quinoric, makes me feel sick and stomach cramps but I'm fine with plaquenil or hydroxyquine sulphate so maybe it's the brand that gives you the unpleasant side effects, worth trying again and ask your doctor to put on the prescription that you can only be given a certain brand. Hope you get sorted out soon.

Thanks Ericam for your reply, I will be going back to my doctor and asking for plaquenil back .

Hi Brothersteve8 ,

Depending what country you are in, you may not be able to get Plaquenil anymore. This brand has largely been discontinued. In the UK there is an alternative brand which has the same formulation called Zentiva. You can read more about this at lupusuk.org.uk/hydroxychlor...

I went to pick my mine up from chemist and they said it’s discontinued. I don’t know what I’m going to take now. The generic one isn’t good for me.

Hi mskmb thanks for replying back , it seems I am going to have problems got a appointment this Friday fingers crossed I have something different that will help me good luck on your quest , I will let you know what the doc give me
