The soft palate in my mouth have become yellowish and i notice small red pin sized dots on the sides ( not tip) of my tongue. I have frequent sore throats and a burning sensation when i swallow. Also my mouth is often dry and has bitterish taste. I dnt smoke or drink so am very concerned as to what could be the problem. Its been a while since i visited my dentist and maybe i need to go n get myself checked but please are there any possibilities to what could be happening here? Thanx for your time.

Red small pin sized spots on side of tongue that burns
Hi AnnieKhat this sounds a lot like something I had a few weeks ago which was oral thrush which I developed shortly after having a bout of shingles.. I would visit your doctor and get a proper assessment but the symptoms sound the same as mine. I too haven't visited my dentist for a while but as I am under the doctor for ongoing issues I mentioned it to her. A pharmacist would also be able to give you an idea and maybe there is something you can buy in the chemists if it is a problem getting to see your G.P. soon. Hope you get some relief x
