Hi Anji,

Welcome to the LUPUS UK HealthUnlocked Community!

We offer a free information pack that contains guides, factsheets and a list of helplines which you can download or request here: lupusuk.org.uk/request-info... .

Sometimes, certain situations can be overwhelming which is why talking to someone can help relieve worries and anxiety that you may have. If you would like someone to speak to, we can provide you with LUPUS UK contacts who you can chat with over the telephone. These contacts are volunteers who mostly have lupus themselves; they are not medically trained but are there to offer support and understanding. If you would like a contact to speak to, you can email me at chanpreet@lupusuk.org.uk .

If you need information about lupus and employment, including information about your rights and what support services are available, we have two booklets that you can read and download at lupusuk.org.uk/working-with.... If you need physical copies sent to you, please email me with your name and address.

There are certain foods that can make a difference to your lupus; you may wish to read our blog article on diet and healthy living here lupusuk.org.uk/diet-and-hea...

Some people use complementary/alternative therapies for their lupus. Some people may find certain things helpful, whilst others may not find them helpful, or even find they make some things worse. It is important to always discuss any complementary therapies with your doctor before trying them so that they can advise you about any possible adverse effects or interactions with other treatments. You also need to bear in mind that lupus presents very differently in everyone, so you may not have the same experience as someone else.

Wishing you the best of luck, let us know how you get on.
