PIP follow up

I rang pip as I haven't heard anything from them since April when they told me they received my form . It's been 10 weeks . They said they received all my paperwork and told me to ring the assessment number . The assessment people told me I'm on a waiting list . Not sure how much longer I'll have to wait .

It's terrible the waiting list time .

Probably holiday time LL, but, yes, the whole thing is stressful. At least they keep paying you while you wait.

I'm not getting anything . My claim ended 10th may . So I filled my forms out before that for a re claim . Hoping that everything would be sorted . So I'm currently not getting any pip

Sorry about that. I went from DLA to PIP and continued to be paid while the forms were done and the assessment took place. This doesn't sound good. Is it worth a call the DWP to double-check, explain the waiting list and ask if that's the system, or whether you get a back payment if your claim is sucessful? In my case it was all very rushed.

I'm going to be cheesed off if this happens to me when I'm due to reapply. It seems as if they have made the decision in advance, without the due process.

I applied November 2015 and had to go to appeal . I had to go to appeal in June 2016 . I got back pay then . They gave me the award for 18months from the November . Ended 10th may 2017 .

I hoping I won't have to go to appeal again like last time if I do I will . If my claim is successful I should get back pay again from when I reapplied

I've been waiting since I applied in February. I don't currently get PIP. I chased them in May and was told I needed a home assessment, then they told me they didn't have any appointment s free. I eventually got a letter in June and am being assessed this Thursday. I've also got a Health Assessment for DWP as I'm currently receiving ESA next week too. I'm convinced they're going to say I'm fit for work. No idea why they couldn't assess for both at the same time! Good luck, I agree the waiting time is terrible!

When I rang up the assessment people they said they could give me an assessment this Thursday in slough . I said no thanks you I'll have to wait till I get one near me . If I went to slough no one would be able to go with me . It would cause a lot more problems than good for me

Hi loulamb

Sorry to read of your pip problems , they're so far behind dealing with it all. So stressful it is waiting!.

You shouldn't have had your money stopped so if I were you instead of ringing DWP , I'd phone citizens advice or if you can go to their office taking all letters with you. They'll sort it out and if needed will phone DWP on your behalf. Their phone number is 03444 111 444 good luck, hope you get it sorted. X

I went to citizen advice to get help filling out the form . Last time I did it by myself.

Interesting enough she said the way I filled out my form last time by myself was spot on with information and the difficulties I had .

I've gone back to work today . I can eat better . Still the difficult not chewing on one side . I have noticed the hole on the right closing up . The stitches on the left look like they are starting to dissolve x
