Sounds like you've got some auto immune things going on between your liver and test results. The tests you've talked about are definitely looked at when diagnosing lupus, however a doctor will look at all symptoms you have. Have you got a rheumatologist? Or have you been referred to one? X

Brilliant, at least you've been referred and your seeing your liver specialist today, it'll be interesting to see what they say today. I hope you get some answers soon, it can be a long road to diagnosis sometimes, I ended up paying privately to see a consultant in the london lupus centre, so that's always an option, wishing you luck xx

Hello Poshcards

I have learnt that I ask for copies of all blood tests now. My GPs reception will print them off but they charge £1 a sheet. But the GPs will sometimes print them off in a consultation for no fee. Otherwise I write to Medical Records at my hospital and request what I need.

As far as letters are concerned, I have written to my consultants and asked that all correspondence to my GP is cc'ed to me and that my request is noted on my file for future reference. That is also very useful. You get a lot of information from your clinic appointments that way.

You are entitled to access this information.

I have my own file of papers with all this info.

Can I ask if you have a diagnosis? Are blood test results an issue for you?

Best wishes

Wendy

Hi Marie1980x ,

We're not medically trained here so we can't interpret your blood test results for you. I hope that when you see the specialist they will be able to explain the results and reach a diagnosis. If you want more information about the blood tests used in the diagnosis and monitoring of lupus, you can read and download our factsheet at lupusuk.org.uk/wp-content/u...
