Hi wondering if any one gets really sore scalp? Like really itchy and then it scabs?? Also been getting pins and needles In my sleep anyone else get this??

I do to. I find its worse when I'm flaring. The only thing that helps is applying a little hydrocortisone cream. Try not to itch.

I also get pins and needles when I sleep, but i don't know why. 😊

I experienced that badly for two years. Lost a LOT of hair also. I used soft gel cold pacs on my scalp every night & any time I lay down. All my hair has re grown & I only occasionally get lesions in scalp. Have to 200% compliant with sun screen ? protection also. Best Wishes to you. x

I fill fine apart from the scalp!! So strange the different things that happen

I do. Was recently diagnosed as seborrheic dermatitis and got a steroid lotion for my scalp which has really helped

Yup. I use to be really itchy on the scalp. I started putting on anti inflammatory oil, cold pressed organic sesame oil. For like a year. Its better. Still a little pink, but less itchy and scabby.

Thanks for posting this question I too have a very itchy scalp no scabs , and get awful pins and needles that wake me in the night - and I had no idea what it was - thanks

HI ROSANOBLE. I HAVE DISCOID LUPUS AND MY SCALP IS MY WORST PROBLEM. THE ITCHING IS LIKE NO OTHER ITCHING AND NOW MY SCALP HAS SCABS & SEEMS TO BE LUMPY WITH BALD PATCHES. I AM 74 & HAVE HAD LUPUS SINCE MY LATE 20'S. IT WAS IN REMISSION FOR YEARS BUT CAME BACK ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO. I HAVE TRIED MANY SHAMPOOS BUT NOW USE AN ORGANIC SHAMPOO WHICH SEEMS TO HELP BUT DOES NOT CURE IT. I HOPE YOU GET HELP FOR YOUR SCALP & PINS AND NEEDLES. I WISH YOU GOOD HEALTH FOR THE FUTURE

Hi all, I also have a itchy scalp in a patch this also flares when my Lupus if flaring and often happens before a flare. I use a medicated Shampoo when it starts T Gel helps mine and I use it just when its starting till it gets better, I don't use it all the time as I found when I did, It didn't help as much so I only use it now when its occurring.

My scalp gets quite hot sometimes and I can feel bumps but I would describe them as tender rather than itchy. My hairdresser commented a few months ago that as well as hot my scalp was very pink. I've got an appointment with a dermatologist on Monday. At the moment I have none of the odd rashes that pop up in all sorts of places, no facial redness across my cheeks and nose and my mouth ulcers have almost healed up. I can go for months with skin problems then as soon as my appointment comes through it's all cleared up.
