What have you done so far to educate yourself? What is your diagnosis? What medications are you taking? What age group & gender are you. Information is a plenty, so I'm sure you will get lots of assistance here. Don't be scared; be informed. Best Wishes to you Kaz xx

hi, just to say your not alone. Both my daughters have now been diagnosed with lupus and I've been on this road since my 20's. I have just recently changed doctors after years of feeling ill and thinking is this just me. Multitude of symptoms including swollen and painfull joints, continuous water and kidney infections, feeling so tired it's more than exhaustion, and depressed, eye infections and allergies to everything and under active thyroid are just some of my symptoms. I am finally now being monitored for lupus which takes a long time. Others on here are more knowledgeable than me and will give you links to articles to read. Good luck

Hi Sara I'd recommend checking out the lupus U.K website - lots of really helpful leaflets that explain lupus. They really helped me. I know it can all seem really overwhelming but reading those is a good starting point plus I've learnt a lot from reading posts on this forum. Hope that helps x

Have you had blood tests to show if you are ANA positive? Sometimes that's a big first step. Even if you don't get the diagnosis of "Lupus" you can know if there is something autoimmune going on and start getting treatment. The pain can be treated (and should).

An ANA positive blood test confirmed to the rheumatologists at the hospital that I had mild lupus, said my immune system goes into overdrive and causes problems like fatigue and joint pain....hair falling out are a few of the problems. Have you not had any blood tests??
