So I went for an MRI scan on a painful shoulder and a couple of weeks later got a call from the hospital trying to book me a ct scan. I didn't know why for so rang the rhumy secretary who said they had seen something in the MRI and had ordered a ct. she apologised for being behind in the letters going out. I attended for the chest. Abdo and groin ct and a couple of days later got the letter saying I needed one (timings a bit askew lol) my letter said that they had noted prominent axillary and supraclavicular nodes. My lupus markers are very low and I show no signs of inflammation or infection. I am currently undergoing tests for Crohn's disease. It's been 9 days since the ct and I haven't heard anything should I be worried. When I was first diagnosed with lupus 2 years ago they had thought it was NHL and did a negative biopsy so am not really enjoying going through the whole is it isn't is scenario. Have been thinking lupus and crohns together would be bad enough. Adding NHL is just bloody unfair!!

Hi Neiluk75, I'm sorry you're going through all of this, it is very worrying and stressful. Unfortunately Lupus can mimic other conditions and sometimes the medications can play havoc with our blood. I went through a similar episode 3 years ago, my blood results were shouting NHL and I had nodes in my lungs and groin. The investigations seemed to go on forever, then I had a bone marrow biopsy (really not pleasant!!) and thankfully it was all clear. I really hope they sort things out for you soon but at least you can be assured they are taking all the right actions and very promptly. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. 😊 Bronagh
