Not yet. I had to get my "lifetime" DLA transferred to PIP (at the same rate) last year. Very stressful - the forms and assessment ratings have changed, then the face to face assessment was horrible. My confirmation letter has awarded me PIP for either 2 or 3 years (sorry, I don't have it to hand) and I'm assuming I'll have to start all over again. I couldn't have managed any of it without the help of the Welfare Rights Officer from my council.
I had a meeting with CAB this morning ahead of my tribunal tomorrow and she told me this is happening a lot now. I would suggest getting help filling in the forms to remove that stress and make sure someone attends the assessment with you and makes notes - preferably someone like a welfare officer who is independent as the assessor is less likely to provide an inaccurate assessment. I wish i'd done this from the outset - cab were far better than me with my appeal form as they were detached and less emotionally involved and it helped get the medical facts across a lot better.
Good luck with it and bear in mind not all assessments are bad - I've had one real good one and one awful one so can confirm the good ones do exist
Yes... I was offered to reapply too... Of course, it is not through kindness but because then they do not have to backdate... I opted not to let go of my claim and to appeal instead now 18 months later the appeal is imminent
