Hello LillyAlfie,

Sounds like you might have tinnitus. Its not all that unusual in SLE, either due to the condition itself, or as a side effect of some medications. I have a mild form myself, which sounds a bit like high pitched birdsong warbling in one ear.

But it might be something else entirely. In any case, just go to your doctor and have it diagnosed properly.

X

You need to see an ent specialist go to your GP and ask for a referral it could just be lupus related or something else you need to find out , plaquenil can cause ear issues aswell as eye issues i was told .

I agree it sounds like Tinnitus.

When I flare and have to increase my Pred (steroids) I get Tinnitus. As soon as the dose comes down again the Tinnitus switches off again.

I had a look at the long list of side effects from steroids and one of them is Tinnitus. Check your PIL (patient info leaflet) for the meds you take.
