At the eye dr getting cleared for plaquenil. Just thought I'd say hey. Got my diagnosis of "SLE- organ unspecified" in October, the day after my bday lol π€πππ
The dr here said I'm the youngest patient she's seen for this purpose π Did you guys have to get a baseline picture of your eyes before beginning plaquenil?
Anyhoo, I hope you're all well.

Hiya. Rheumy didn't tell me to, but I did anyway. Went to get my dry eyes investigated and figured a record to help monitor any changes would make sense too. Optician agreed, so we got a few images of my eyes on file.
Yes - just this Thursday the Rheumatologist asked if I'd had my eyes checked before I started on Plaquenil 3 months prior. Apparently I have a freckle on my inner eye so it gets checked every 12 months.
I should mention that I live in a smaller town in Florida, amongst a large retiree population. So I'm often the youngest patient, customer, ... person in the room π
