Hi

Quick question. After 16 years with AIHep gastro wants to decrease from 75 to 50mmg.

Thought this was of help with Lupus and my other autoimmune diseases too.

Suck it and see and feel even worse, or do as I am told?

Thoughts please.Love

Hi Jen, can't understand why they would want to reduce the dosage. Ask them why if it's been helping you they shouldn't reduce it, maybe they see that it causes problems elsewhere and are not telling you. There is some info from coco on the page here. XxxxX Nicola.

Ps, the reason I had not started the methotrexate in May is because it causes the lining of the stomach to inflame and I already had that. We will see what happens when I start it next week.

The doctors can't deny you the answer WHY.

Hi Footygirl

Azathioprine can cause problems with blood count so if things are stable with your illnesses it might be worth trying the lower dose to see if you can manage. It's always best to take the least amount we can of any of our drugs and if you have problems you can always go back up. Good luck if you try. Keep scoring. X⚽️👌🏻
