A 'mystery' illness explained.

I believe that the latest video provides a very understandable description of a virtually 'unknown' illness to the majority of the population. The description of the tiredness symptom of the illness is particularly effective.

I agree!!! Explaining the insurmountable fatigue is often the most difficult.

The video is good at explaining the fatigue but there are many people on here who are facing tribunals because they have had their esa taken off them because they have been declared fit for work, people who have found that they have been unable to work. There are people with lupus having problems getting pip and having to appeal. Some people on here are struggling in work with employers trying to force them to leave work because of the illness . The video shows someone working despite the disease and for some that isn't possible. It gives the impression that despite the fatigue you can still go to work, I know many do but some just can't.

Hi Buffy14 ,

This particular video was telling just one person's story, but you are absolutely right that they are many people with lupus who unfortunately have to give up work and struggle with claiming disability benefits. We are limited in how much we can fit into one video, but hopefully experiences like those will be covered as well in the future.

Well I am sure the dwp are delighted with the video they can use it to stop even more people's benefits. Sorry to be negative about it but as someone waiting to go to an appeal i am unimpressed.
