Hi all not wrote post for a while please can you pray for me that I can get through this my 36 yr old son has unexpectedly died aged 36 in suspicious circumstances he was up in Glasgow visiting family but he lives in Devon that was on 26th of August his funeral is next mon in Devon so will have to fly down I've had so much to do with police involved etc I've Been running on pure adrenaline now I am struggling with the pain from fibro so exhausted can't stop my brain from thinking to get some sleep I am dreading the Funeral as don't know if I will be able to keep it together I just want to wake up and it's not true one min I am in tears the next I am so angry and want to smash everything up please pray for me that I can make it through I am so grateful for this forum for it's listening are and support thanks maria

I'm so sorry to hear about your terrible loss. Have you spoken with your GP? Do you think you could benefit from some additional support right now to help you manage during this difficult time?

They have given me some diazepam for 3 days of 2mg for the day before till day after funeral I had to take 1 in middle of night as had palpitations and brain wouldn't shut down I am trying to make myself believe it's not true sounds stupid I feel that barely hanging on and now the fibro pain just shot up I take amitripline and Prozac also co codamol but they don't touch the pain when in a flare up do you think I should go back to doctors thanks maria

WHAT A TRAGEDY - you poor thing [and having to bear lupus as well] - my heart really goes out to you. Be strong, Maria - I do hope that the medication will help you through all this. I hate to imagine how I would cope with the loss of my own 40 year-old son. Personally, I would definitely let the Dr know how you are coping and ask his advice on drug dependency; those are some powerful things you've been given. Best of luck in coping - I will certainly be praying for you.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your precious son. I can't imagine what that would be like. I have sons, too. I'll be praying for you often throughout my days as that's the most powerful thing anyone can do for you, Maria. May the Lord shelter you under his wings and lift you up when you are feeling low. We know his strength is greatest when we are our weakest.

I have 2 sons, and have sympathy for you, very hard. To lose a son in such tragic circumstances is one thing, but with the health problems on top, it must be very difficult . I hope you are offered good support to help you deal with everything and cope.

Hi Maria

I am so sorry for you. I know exactly what you are going through as lost both my sons due to illness within 6months of each other

I also have Lupus and all other illnesses and like you felt as if I could not cope

It really does not matter if you can't keep it together at the funeral. I completely lost it both times but people understand

Please accept all the help you can get both from GP and family and friends. I had a massive Lupus flare and I had diazepam for few days and it helped me cope with all the identification and the police etc. Now 4years on I can still feel what you are going through and am still angry but life goes on even if you wish it didn't at times and now I have good days as well as the bad ones

I will ask the universal energies to send help for you. Remember your breathing right down to your abdomen and know that you are not alone. I found natural healing helped me greatly with grief and managing funerals, etc. Meditations, praying and other forms of alternative help such as reflexology can be of great help at such times. I didn't have to travel like you, however, so take care and all our thoughts are with you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Try to take care of yourself through this tragic event. A wise person, clergy possibly, told me that sometimes God takes a person to prevent something more awful that would occur in their life. Maybe this is true for yourent son.
