Itchy arm

Hi,for about a year now I have had an itchy arm which drives me mad.its on my forearm and in creases where it bends.I use cold flannel which soothes it and I use double base gel daily now too.few days ago I tried germalene .it stinks but does help as its got anaesthetic in it as well as being an antiseptic . My itching always happens at bedtime.

I used to get really bad itching on my arms before I was diagnosed. My doctor put me on antihistamines that helped. Good luck. Just thought how about Eurax cream that stops itching

Hi gillian I've tried eurax and a steroid cream .works bit better if you put cream in fridge so its ice cold when you apply it.I've been on antihistamines for years.take them every day because of hayfever and dust allergy .

When were you diagnosed ?

About 3 years ago, but I had a lot of symptoms before and they had been put down to various other reasons. I had seen a rheumatologist 3 years prior to that but the results were not forwarded to my then doctor from the hospital when my present doctor queried this, he was told that I had anti dna and that I should have been seen on a regular basis, which is now happening. Thank goodness I now have a good doctor
