Interesting reading on the disability rights newsletter. Some people nationwide being kept waiting up to a year to be assessed for aides needed around the home. Are you one? Find your local Healthwatch office. They are getting involved in compliling information and asking questions about long delays for these basic, usually free, rights. Some councils employing more people to work on unacceptable backlogs.

I'm one. I've sent my email. How about you? Someone out there cares about this issue and can apply pressure on our behalf across the UK. Let's use it guys.

Been waiting years to have my Kitchen&Bathroom done under decent homes said going to give me different bath&raise toilet etc then walk in shower then wet room now??? as changed contractor few times been round measured/surveyed etc etc then nothing no information now all ended yet still live in a cardboard box! as life on hold want to put carpet down in front room and floor in passage/bedroom etc but can't till sorted out.

Just posted update. Healthwatch intervened to get me urgent needed aide. Look them up in your locality! Use them!
