Common cold

This feels weird, I'm laid up in bed with the common cold but I'm going hot and cold and of course it has made me flare up, so along with that I'm aching badly and having kidney pain on one side. All that from a stupid cold. Just hope I'm well enough for work Tuesday.

Hi Dan,

Yes I've also got this dreadful cold/bug that's doing the rounds too.

I can't believe a normal cold can knock you for six and feel like you've done ten rounds with Tyson.  But yeah, also running hot and cold like you are too, along with the normal aches and pains I have to deal with on a daily basis, they are just intensified to the max.

 But I've not got a the kidney pain to deal with like you.  I would say rest up for today and knock yourself out with all decongestants and fingers crossed you will be able to work tomorrow.  However, if you've only come down with it today I would say you'll be off another 2 days at least.

I was the same a few weeks ago and still haven't recovered just had prednisone increased to try and beat it but still have snotty nose with sores, also think uti and slightly breathless with phlegm along with my flare symptoms of sore joints,mouth ulcers, exhaustion, migraines,  rashes, fevers and sore dry eyes x so I am wishing you all the best and hope that you manage to get better soon xoxo

Yes i was the same all last week. Now back on pred. Really hope you get better soon. We takle serious issues every day and then like every other mortal we too feel crap with a common cold. We have mega immune systems at least it shows the meds are working if we can't beat a cold. X

True about the mega immune system just it seems to prefer attacking the body rather than the viruses.
