Tumid Lupus Diagnosis

Hi everyone, I'm new here and was recently diagnosed with Tumid Lupus. I have symptoms of SLE, but tested negative for it. Is this normal?

What symptoms of SLE do you have? Are your consultants planning on repeating the tests in the future? Have you now been started on treatment for your tumid lupus?

Hi Paul_Howard, I was prescribed Plaquenil yesterday due to my symptoms affecting more than my skin. I suffer from severe fatigue, mind fog at times, raynaud's phenomenon, temperature intolerance, neuropathy, arthritis, mouth sores, muscle weakness, and extreme thirst when my lesions appear. My flares are pretty chronic, and at this point I go a couple of weeks with Farley mild symptoms, and then a few more with more severe symptoms. I'm not entirely sure if the flares have gone away and come back once or twice a month for the last 7 months, or I have been flaring for 7 months with varying periods of activity

Hi Tyonna_Roark-96 ,

I hope that the plaquenil helps alleviate your symptoms. It can take a while before you notice the full benefit, so please be aware of that.

Flares can vary significantly between people with lupus. Hopefully your treatment will help to control your lupus and reduce the frequency and severity of your flares.
