Stopping methotrexate

Hi I've just been in hospital for appendix to be removed as it was gangrene. Been to see my lupus dr & been told that my methotrexate is being stopped as my liver function results are abnormal it's one thing after another at the moment. Dr's  told me that I could have a massive flare up as of stopping the medication so rest they will retest in 2 wks time it could be meds or be the operation I just had causing the problem they just can't say at the moment  .I had a massive flare last year ended up being off work for 6 months I can't believe this is happening & hoping that I'm not off work long again I don't think my boss was impressed when I told them today as of being off so long last time .
