I have skin lupus under investigation for sle I have breathing problems for months and have to clear my throat constantly anyone else have this just wondering is it connected to lupus

Hi Lisamarie39, just back online. I have had a problem clearing my throat for some years. Now I tested this as I am again now. When I started on Plaquenil it stopped I then had a break and it came back, went onto Quinoric the other Hydroxy but struggled with that brand, then came off again and the throat issue was back. Finally Dani83 Linked me to Lupus telling me they were one again manufacturing the Plaquenil yippee never had any problems with it. Now been on it for 6 days and the throat issue has become less frequent. The other info is that some people have this problem clearing their throat as we do and they benefit from Omeprazole which I take for Gastric reflux, but this alone did nothing for the throat issue. I have taken gastric medication for 25 years and stiil had the problem so at the end of this very long reply the Plaquenil control it. Few finished. It may or may not help. Take care noonoox
