I am so much in pain just now and having restless legs arrgghhh Had to stand up legs went numb & had to hold on to stop falling 😞 Takes ages to fall asleep just now restless legs and scared to take more amitriptyline, think I need docs app to arrange diffrent pain meds x

Yes you do. I have had RLS for yrs. For a long time vit B helped, then it quit but RLS just got worse. If not for Mirapex i would be crazy. I get it all over my body. I can feel it going up one side and down the other. I drove to ER one night because i couldnt set down or lay down for three days and nights. Driving turned out to be a danger as my hands and feet kept coming off pedals and steering wheel. Please see someone that can give you something that will work.

I could nit take amitripylne because it affected my memory.

Hi I know how you feel I found on amazon for ressless legs cream red vine leaves and horse chestnut cream its not expensive about £5 it comes from Germany it works try that I am using it

Is the cream working for you? I have tried so many things. What is name of it? If it helps me it wiuld bevone less pilk to take?.

Hi the cream I use that works is krauterhof I just went on amazon put in restless leg cream it comes in a tub 250ml cost £5 aprox I use it first thing in the morning and then at night

I might guve it a try. I take so many pills, i had rather use cream ir it works.

Have you had iron levels checked? Low iron can cause restless legs.

My restless legs didn't give up until I was on Hydroxy chloroquine sulphate and Azathioprine.

As said before low iron count, not anaemia, it's a different blood test since being on iron medication it has improved ask your doctor first

Hi I hope you get help soon, I found that gabapentin helped me RLS is horrendous I tried a few things before gabapentin I originally got it for the fibro but I found it helped restless legs and restless body gentle hugs rosie xx

I have pain in legs and feet but not too bad. I only have restless leg in left leg at night and it can get very annoying. I take naproxen when it gets bad and that seems to help me but usually I can deal with it till I fall asleep thank goodness. Hope you can get some relief soon.

Between Raynaud's, burning feet, and restless leg I feel the same. Restless leg worse when ferritin levels low. Doesn't go but does improve.

Have you tried drinking Tonic Water? it contains Quinine, but be careful not to do what I did, I drank too much & overdosed and I made myself ill. My mum takes Quinine tablets prescribed by her GP. They help her, but it doesn't stop RLS altogether.

Thanks for the tip, I am going to look on Amazon for that cream to see if it would be better than the tablets.

10mgi take two at night but as I said I'm going to Docs next week and gonna try that cream

Your Amitriptyline dose could go up to 20 or 25 mg . Good luck with the cream and GP. Keep us posted. X

I suffered with restless legs for years, I now take pramipexole it is fantastic and no side effects.
