Hi

I have had this problem once before, if I remember correctly the pharmacist told me it was a different manufacturer it's the colour that indicates the strength

You can only get 5mg over the counter

Hope this helps

Asked to change mine to injection find it longer lasting and more effective

I've has the same and it is just the different manufacturers. Some of mine come in blister packs and some in a medicine bottle. I find those in the blister packs are much smaller.

I checked with the chemist and it is just the manufacturer, the dose is still the same. I haven't noticed any differences in how I feel after taking them, just that I prefer the smaller ones!

Hope this helps.

I know it does get confusing if you use generic forms of drugs because there are many different brands that you can be given and their shapes, sizes and colors can vary. Best thing would be to check with your pharmacist but you can also use try using websites like drugs.com under the pill identifier tab. This site can be used for USA and UK but I am not sure about other countries. You just enter the drug name and it pops up with the pictures of the known sizes, strengths, colors, and brands. This section also can be used to identify pills if you don't know what the drug name is but can describe it....good for pills that have wandered out of their containers. There are other websites that also do this as well. I hope this helps.

Hi Charmaine. May I ask how the methotextrate helps with Lupus?

I was just recently diagnosed.

So far predisone and Plaquenil.

Still I have severe small joint pain.I think I may need another,a different medicine. This is why I am asking .I know the meds I am on don't help.

What were your symptoms? And does the methotextrate work?

Thanks...dunkxx
