Hi Buster

The Jobcentre won't be bothering you now your in the ESA Support Group because you don't have to have interviews when in this group. That's a lot of stress less for you!.

There should be a sentence somewhere on your letter stating that they do not expect you to carry out any work related activities so they won't bother you :)

There is but because I've only just come on the sick due to a bad accident at work they are trying to bully me back in work but Iam in no fit state

If you are in the Support group this, shouldn't happen, however, there are lots of instances where people report them doing this. There is a website called Fightback that has sound advice based on legal knowledge of the system, have a look at what they say about these visits. My understanding is that you are not obliged to let them in and can request they return at a time to suit you. It is part of the tactic to 'catch' people out......but just adds to the stress

I've been in the support group for 5 years, and it seems I'm not on their radar as you're now classed as severely disabled and unable to sustain work.

The choice is now in your hands if you choose to volunteer or paid work, where you're allowed to earn a certain amount per week. Ultimately you are not expected to make contact with the job centre.

Hi. Im in the Support Group and have not been bothered for 2 years now. However, I have never heard of them coming round to your home (especially without an appointment) and from the way you have worded your query, it seems that they have done this more than once? I would get on to Citizans Advice asap. The Job Centre really should not be harrassing you like this.

IF they want to check on you, they have to write and ask first for a convenient time and explain why they are coming. But as others have said, you are in the SG and should not be asked to do anything, not even supply' fit for work notes' (the old sick notes)

Job Center should have nothing to do with support group this includes any visits etc. they are breaking the rules by coming to your home and it's harassment. The DWP (or atos if the new company) are the only dept that should be contacting you, contact the job Center and ask to speak to a manager ask if they have you down in the wrong section etc and request they check as you have had multiple visits (sounds better than complaining or kicking off) if they say they have you as support group then request they cease any visits as you have been informed they shouldn't be coming and that it's making your health problems worse. If they continue complain to DWP and as another poster said Fightback is a group that's predominantly on Facebook but do have website. They are all volunteers dedicated to sorting this type of problem.

Also contact your MP as they need to know the corrupt and underhand manner in which people are being treated.

Hope you get it sorted.

Can I ask, what are your disabilities? I've also heard that if you are in the support group, they pretty much assume you won't be able to work, but I guess it depends on authorities etc?
