Hi all hope you are all well. I need some advice and if anyone could help I would be truely grateful. Right where to begin lol.
Roughly two years ago I applied to our "wonderful" (ahem) local council for a disabled facilities grant for a down stairs wet room. Was turned down flat - was offered a stair lift and other basic stuff wash board, toilet aids etc. A stairlift was totally not appropriate as i will explain.
I applied for this adaption not only for myself but my children as well. My eldest daughter has possible bipolar/ASD and hypermobility,my son is autistic and has dyspraxia and my youngest is totally deaf in her left ear, with poor vision and hypermobility and then there is me - im just falling to bits lol.
I am desperate for a downstairs toilet. This was the main reason I applied, but to no avail. I do not have any support from any outside agencies and I wondered if we should actually have a social worker for my family as there are 4 people all with individual problems?
I am at the end of my tether and dont know what to do or where to turn for help. To make matters worse I have to attend a DWP tribunal for my youngest child in September and dont know how much stress i can take. Had enough.
So if anyone could provide any information or advice i would be extremely grateful.
Lupie hugs to all
