Hi I live in East Sussex and asked my doctor to refer me to the Louise Coote lupus clinic at Guys. I was told there's between 9-12 month wait at my local hospital to see a rheumatologist. And as the cardiologist I saw was appalling at my local hospital I wasn't keen to go back. I had my first appointment early June at guys and am waiting for results and a follow up in August Ive been suffering with myopericarditis along with various other problems since January I am being seen by their cardiologist and at the lung clinic there. I can't believe the difference in the care and treatment at this hospital. You should see if you can get a referral there for your wife it is well worth the journey there

Hi, I lived in Brighton for 15yrs & have Lupus SLE. I used to visit a Rheumy at Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton as well as have regular blood tests with the Haemotology dept (to monitor Lupus activity).

They have a rheumy dept at the new Pembury hospital. I see DR Warr she's very clued up and diagnosed my lupus within 6 months - I've suffered for years !

Dr Brenda Stuart at the Princess Royal in Haywards Heath is a lupus specialist. It looks as though you've had a few good suggestions from other members here too.
