another antibiotic!!!!

wondering if anyone has had this problem. Have now got another bladder infection and have just finished a course of antibiotics this has been going on now for about 6 months and everytime i tell my GP about the pain in my back and side they just look at me as if i'm talking rubbish. Really getting sick of it now x

I have suffered with this problem for many years, and you will only get results by putting your foot down and requesting a Urology referral. These infections can make you very run down, and could be causing damage.

I have recently had a bladder biopsy, and the consultant gave me two IV antibiotics at the same time, This seems to have stopped the infections so far I am very pleased to say, where if you continue to take oral antibiotics, you become resistant to them.

I had water infections every few weeks for over a year, I felt so ill for such a long time, it had a major impact on my life. I was eventually sent for a bladder biopsy. The diagnosis was chronic cystitis. I had to take antibiotics for a year afterwards, thankfully no water infection now for 9 years. I would insist on a referral. Hope this helps

Thanks Ann1e as much as I hate taking the antibiotics if it clears it I'll take them for a year😃

Think your right teapot 65 putting my foot done and getting it done is the only way thanks for reply and your right about being run down all I want to do is sleep.
