Lupus rash?

Hi guys , have had this on my neck for about a week. Was wondering if it's a lupus rash, only ever had the butterfly rash on my face before, so not sure.

I am not sure myself, I've had the butterfly rash, my hands are always reddish to. So I am interested to follow you, and see what others say. Hate this illness, im 53 and feel like I'm 90😢good luck.🍀

Could well be. At the start of the sunny weather like now, I always get rashes - butterfly one on my face but also on the top of my chest and tops of my arms. Mine usually settles down when we get more consistently sunny weather but I always use 50 factor sun cream on these areas which tends to lessen the severity of the rash and a bit of hydrocortisone cream from time to time to help it settle down. For me its always a sign that the we are beginning to get better weather and I have been managing this time of year since I was 16 - which is 41 years ago now! Usually I do okayish and it doesn't stop me from being outside. The sun cream is the key for me.

Agree, I'm 75 and have had discoid lupus since 13, manage it in much the same way as you, high spf cream a must!!! HC cream when required. LOL

When yourLupas flares up, where does it Attack the most? This flare up for me has by far been the worst. My knees are affected, my teethe have been hurting and have a sore throat on and off. plus my arms and left shoulder are so painful.

It very well could be. I get rashes from top of head to toes, and everywhere inbetween. Get lesions on feet and can't wear shoes for weeks. Gets worse during the summer. Wish you the best.

Hi could be in February, I had rash all over my body, was given dermovate and 50mg steroids it lasted about a month, have it checked out.

i have sore fingers which is really bad in d winter and tend to scare too in summer. But my summer rash is in d most awkward place ever. Under my breast and trust me am heavily endowed at the upper region (lol). Once the weather gets warmer it begins to spread and it gets itchy and red. My former consultant prescribed dermovate cream twice a day. I have had it 4 a year now, so the warmer i get the more sore and itchy dat place gets. So whats the best weather for us when its cold u ve to wrap up when its warm u still ve to wrap up so u dnt get toasted by the sun. What a world am 29 but i feel older than my grandparents when they were in their 80s. Looking forward to my 30th in september so i can atlist feel that am getting on in age to compensate the aged feeling.

i feel u should show ur gp or consultant and suggest they prescribe u dermovate.

Thank you for all your replies. Taken pics and had bloods done today. wait and see what the consultant says now.
