Northern Ireland Lupus Group AGM

Hi everyone, just wanted to let anyone living in Northern Ireland know that the support group is having their AGM on Thursday 7th May at 7.30pm in the Whiteabbey Methodist Church Hall, Shore Rd, Whiteabbey, Newtownabbey. Our guest speaker will be Dr Michelle Mc Henry, Consultant Rheumatologist and everyone is more than welcome to attend.

I've just recently been diagnosed with SLE & several other associated conditions & whilst l'm unable to attend the AGM due to prior commitments it would be most appreciated if you could keep me informed as to how it went & how to become a member of Lupus NI.

Hi Michelle, I'm delighted you got in touch, this must be a very confusing and worrying time for you and it's made more difficult by the fact that most people know nothing about Lupus and mixed connective tissue disease. I'm 48yrs old and got Lupus when I was 29 after the birth of my daughter, so believe me I'm an 'old hand' at all of this. Lupus NI has a Facebook page and a website I'm going to get the right addresses of these and post them to you on here. We would be delighted to have you as a member and honestly it's a great way to meet and talk to others who know exactly what you are going through.

Hi Michelle, the Facebook page just comes under Lupus Northern Ireland Group and the web address is lupussupportgroupni.co.uk there is a list of contacts on there me included PLEASE feel free to give me a ring anytime.
