Think it's a bit like a lottery, some get it easy while other have to appeal quite a few times. It also depends on how it effects you. When my daughter applied she was prompted to talk about her really bad days, as we all want to make light of our condition. So she had to think about the days she can't bend to put the washing on or when she can't get up through exhaustion as well as all the other thing you try to continue to do. It also helped taking letters from the consultant. She got It. Good luck x
Hi i just got it 1st time take as much info as possible letters etc they ask everything then ask you to do some things like bending grip of hands etc and just how your illness effects you dailly if you can cook znd do shopping etc hope this helps
The interview took 70 minutes and was absolutely exhausting.
They asked me what I could do on a bad day compared to a good day. They asked how many bad days I have a week and basically they went through the whole form again. They also wanted to know previous hobbies and hobbies that I had now.
They also ask you to touch your toes, touch your head, stand on one leg, they look at how you walk, whether you can climb stairs.
I am still waiting to hear my outcome.
Good luck
Its all very frustrating! Do u mind me asking what are yr symptoms n diagnosis?
My daughter has a diagnoses of Hypermobility syndrome, ceolliac with a consultant suddenly telling her she has fibromyalgia! I think she may have a few more undiagnosed auto diseases going on but only time will tell.
