Help with benefits??

Hi all, well since my last post I have had some positive news. I went down the occupational health route and despite my initial worries they were fantastic and recommended that I reduce my working week to 3 days maximum. This is going to result in a job share of my current teaching role which at first I found difficult as I felt reluctant to give away something I treasure so much but I guess the realisation that my health is more important helped me cope with that decision.

I just wondered if anyone had a simular situation and if you knew whether I can claim any benefit, given that I have been recommended to reduce my working hours? Not sure if there is anything to cover the short fall??

Thanks lupies I hope this message finds you all well and hope to hear from you all soon :)

Hi Fairydust11,

I'm glad to hear that you found your occupational health assessment helpful. You may find you are eligible for some benefits due to your ill-health and lower income. The best way to find out what you might be eligible for is to make an appointment at your local Citizen's Advise Bureau or call the Benefits Enquiry Line on 0800 88 22 00.
