Hey everyone my name is Seema I'm new to all this. I'm looking for some advise I was diagnosed with lupus about 4 years ago I'm on medication but still experience a lot of symptoms. But for the past couple of days iv had swallon toes that are itchy and red any ideas what this may be oh I also suffer from Raynaud's but its never been this bad. Thanks guys in advance xx

Hi Seema,

What medication are you on at the moment? Have you mentioned to your consultant that you feel your symptoms aren't being well controlled by it?

It would be a good idea to go to see your GP about your toes. If it is your Raynaud's then they could advise something that could help prevent further attacks.

Hi Paul I'm on methotrexate, naproxen, hydroxychloroquine, perdisalone and eye drops. I'm due to see the specialist soon so will discuss this with him. When I saw my specialist last I felt that he was not very understanding didn't really listen :( thanks for your input Paul xx

I'm sorry to hear that you feel your specialist isn't giving you very much attention. It can sometimes help to go into the appointment with a list of a few bullet points (either questions or aims) that you want addressed by the end of the session, as it can help give focus. Let us know how you get on.
