Wonder if anyone has had any success with diff medications for a bad rash! Am already on 400mg hydroxychloroquine, and an increasing amount of prednisolone up to 40mg. Got put on aziothioprine but had to stop it as it wiped my White Blood Cells. Am so down as it is widespread and looks just awful as well as hot and itchy

Help, my rash is awful
I had the same problem with azathioprine and white cell counts, but my consultant swapped me to 6-mercaptopurine and my counts have been OK ever since. I was weaned off prednisolone once they swapped to to azathioprine.
My very bad and itchy facial rash (over ears and neck also), was first treated with tacrolimus and various steroids, but we have ended up with pimecrolimus (Elidel) once a day on the affected area, and long term erythromycin (Lupus clinic says for a year, I'll go back in a couple of months to see what they think). The current regime is keeping things pretty well under control.
Did your rash worsen after you started the hydroxychloroquine? At it's worst, mine covered everything except my palms and soles of feet. It was put down to intolerance to hydroxychloroquine. It works really well for some though.
I was given mepacrine as prednisolone and hydroxychloroquine weren't working. It helped loads.
