Hi all I was sit-up in my hospital bad waiting on my breakfast coming round thot id let you all no what's going on, got rushed in on Monday due 2 taking full body muscle spasms I've never felt pain like it I have lupus ckd and fibromyalgia. Most off my lupus levels have come back normal as can be for me. I've had 6 full body spasms take overt body calminh down in between but can just start up just as quick. Any ideas ? If only I had a magic wand or tablet that would control on this. Had MRI scan it was clear waiting now 2day go 4 a electric wave test to the brain. My body is so sore , scared to do anything incase I go into spasm. The docs r great with me moving today to my rhemo docs ward as he wants to keep good eye on me he is a great doc and have a lot of trust in him !

Certain foods can make the situation worse if your body is already stressed. For me dairy products produce some unwanted effects. Sugar and wheat containing products can do the same. You dont say what stage your ckd is at as that will have an effect on food choices.

Trans fats have also received a negative press and these are in vast numbers of prepared foods.

How weird, you poor thing! Have they given you any muscle relaxants for the spasms? Or anticonvulsants perhaps?

Could your minerals be off. I noticed I get headaches and tightness in the back of my head and shoulder muscles. I wonder If it's because my minerals are not being absorbed because of leaky gut. This is my theory. I also have terrible foot cramps and calf cramps that are painful. Again, don't know if it's potassium or magnesium deficiency. I went grey very young, and I heard that is from a copper deficiency. I wonder sometimes If we are born with these genetic deficiencies or diet. Might want to look into that. Doctors never pay attention to our body chemistry. Good luck and feel better.
