Does a sudden on set of clicking joints mean a flare

My knees,shoulders,wrists are all clicking constantly my muscles in thighs are really hurting squeezing tight and stiff any advice would be good.

Sorry you haven't had a reply Pinky, I guess every ones symptoms can vary so much with lupus.

My joints seized up, prior to a flare last year, & they also clicked at that time. It was extremely painful & I couldn't hold a cup. Thankfully it didn't last long & it hasn't returned since I had treatment.

If this is new for you, it would be worth getting some advice from your rheumy nurse.

Hi Pinky,

I think I know what you mean, I have found that very gentle stretching of all your muscle groups and flexing of your joints helps. I think we spend so much time hunched against pain and then we get scared so that we then stop doing what we should be doing naturally. Don't over stretch though. And do it with support of a chair.

Obviously this is just what I find helps me.
