Disability Direct has recently teamed up with Scope and Capital One to train local people on three key areas that are likely to affect disabled people and carers.

These areas are:

• Benefits and the Welfare Reform

• Accessing Care and Support Services

• Understanding Financial Products

The individuals that have been trained in these areas to give information are available to support people in their local areas. They can also assist people to complete their benefit forms, access benefit calculators, signpost to organisations for other areas of support and assist people to access services that they need.

Information and support can be given over the phone, email or their volunteers will meet people in a local community venue.

For more information call 0115 958 3948 or visit scope.org.uk/moneyadvice

Please note that at present, this service is only available in Nottingham City
