Chemotherapy Cycle 4 Week 1

Well this is my last cycle and it's not been too difficult but it's not been easy. The cycles have been quite predictable especially since I wrote how things were daily. Maybe that would he an idea for others. If my journey only helps 1 then job well done. So I had my last cycle last Thursday and on Friday had my Covid 3rd booster. This week I've bern very tired as usual and the dreaded thrush has come back. The medication the oncology nurse gave me at the start tastes appauling but I think that's the thrush. Had my last depo in my stomach so hope that's working. I have my appointment to see my consultant in early Nov and hope they get my PET SCAN done before. From there we decide what's next after this treatment results. So we carry on just wish I wasn't soo tired. Take care everyone.

Pleased to hear this cycle hasn’t been too difficult but hope your energy levels increase. My local Hospice runs a Fatigue and Breathless Group at which handy tips are shared, just wondering whether there is anything similar where you are as I found it helpful?

Hope your PET scan results prove reassuring.

With positive thoughts and best wishes 💐💕

Hi hope you are well. Just finished combination chemotherapy now on maintenance chemotherapy. This roller coaster ride is bumpy mentally and physically but I do try to keep pushing forward. I must admit the counselling I had through Macmillan helped immensely. So I'm happy that the treatment is working for me.How are you xx Janet

Hi Janet

I had good and not so good news. I started targeted therapy in June this year. It cleared the PE and other mets bur the primary has continued to grow albeit slowly. I've been put forward for trial call halt at the Christie fingers crossed I'm one of the lucky ones and not the control. Infact I'm just on my way to my first consultation will have to see how it goes, it's a question of watch and wait. Feel better physically than I've for months and months, so living it one day at a time, fingers and toes crossed for a good outcome 😀xx
