Chemotherapy Started

Well thought I would let you know I started Pemetrexed and Carboplatin on 5th 1st cycle. The staff at the Jigsaw RBH were very supportive and explained everything about my chemotherapy treatment. Was given all the relative medication to take then and home with me fir over the next few days and as when needed ie anti sickness. Commenced the chemotherapy drip all in all took about 2 hours.

On Sunday I started to get a sore mouth and throat so on Monday morning called the hotline. Staff very reassuring and told me someone would call me back within the hour which they did. Explained to the nurse everything and she explained I had thrush and that my husband could collect medication within the hour, and would check in with me in a couple of days, which she did.

The thrush is improving daily but the horrible taste lingers. So 🤞 week 1 hasn't been as bad as I thought so I guess I'm thankful.

Thought I would give updates of my journey hopefully to help others on the same journey.

Stay safe.
