We have been approached by Bristol University who are seeking people diagnosed to review a research proposal. This is a short summary (350 words) of their plan for investigating how best to support people attending for Lung health checks. Feedback is needed over the next couple of weeks.

My lung cancer (adenocarcinoma) was found during a CT scan whilst I was being monitored after anal cancer was found. I'm happy to answer any questions for research.

Hello my dads lung cancer was found just by falling over same cancer , hope your well my dad is doing really well hes 83 and still going out , hes not having the chemotherapy .

Hi more than happy to help......my lung tumour 2.5cm was missed on my xray 4 months later it showed up on my ct scan.......they told me it was behind a main artery! Cathy

I was diagnosed following a chest infection. It was noted on two previous chest x-rays there was some sort of scarring. Was only short time after noted scarring I was sent for investigations. when I registered with new GP due to house move. Was sent for x-ray after having first consultation. Was diagnosed only two weeks after registering.

My nsclc was found by chance. I went for a 3 month check for my asthma and mentioned I had a little cough. An x-ray showed a small spot on my right lung and a scan confirmed. I had 2 lobes removed followed by 4 months chemo. I'm into my 3rd year of remission. If I can help I will gladly do so.
