Brigatinib

Just trying to find out how many others in UK are taking brigatinib. I have just had compassionate access to it after only 7 months on crizotinib. I now have brain tumours as crizotinib does not protect the brain. We need to try and get NICE to change their policy and use 2nd generation drugs as firstline treatments as they do in the usa. I took my first dose yesterday evening. I know of one other who is also in the alk positive facebook group. It would be good to know how it is working for others.

Dear Mikest1

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forum. We hope you have some positive outcomes of Brigatinib for you.

The next meeting in regards to Brigatinib with NICE is on 12th July 2018, of which I have attached the link which you may have accessed already.

Unfortunately all these things have a process and timescale to it, it will be interesting to hear your experience with Brigatinib and hopefully you will find someone else who has this as their treatment.

If you wish to discuss anything you can call us on our free nurse led helpline number on 0800 358 7200.

All the very best
