I've not written for a while which is a positive thing! I'm stage 2 adenocarcinoma having had lobectomy July 16 and completed chemo November 16. Back at work since January and back to full hours now. I try to keep eye on posts here but sometimes feel guilty that I'm doing well and back to worrying about daft day to day things when others going through such difficult times. Last scan was April 17 and all clear.
I wish everyone on this journey hope, strength and virtual hugs. I know this forum has really helped me.

Understandable and perfectly normal! don't know anyone facing surgery of any kind who actually looks forward to it -wishing you luck… having had my lobectomy through open thoracotomy some years ago when VATS was far less available and come out the other side, can only hope you recover well. Many on here have gone through the same procedure so there will be lots of hints and tips on any things that you find a bit tricky post surgery...
Isn't it a great feeling? I remember seeing things as if for the first time and being in wonder at colours/seasons changing etc…. as the months became years, it wore off but two spells in hospital in the last year have me savouring 'normal' moments and experiences just like I did after lobectomy. Don't feel guilty - it's just as important for us to read positive experiences to understand that the when times are bad, they can only get better….
