Involvement in lung cancer

We are looking for people to become a member of the Cochrane Lung Cancer Review Group (see lungcancer.cochrane.org/ ) which is dedicated to creating high quality reviews of the evidence on the management of patients with lung cancer and mesothelioma, and to provide a patient/ consumer perspective.

We would like you to have knowledge or experience of lung cancer, an understanding of clinical terminology, some basic understanding of research methods and experience of reading or writing information materials.

This would involve 2 -3 hours per month, with a variety of tasks.

All meetings would be virtual through phone calls or internet but almost all business is carried out by email.

The purpose would be to provide a patient/ user perspective on all aspects of the work, including choice of topics for reviews, but the main work would consist of reading draft reviews before publication to ensure that the section aimed at providing a readable summary for patients and public is clear and understandable.

Good Morning Lorraine,

I did try to post my reply to this post using your suggested method by clicking on the mail icon in the above tool bar.On completing my post using your name in the title box,it would not send,telling me I had to append a user?.Well given my limited skills in computers,I gave up.Anyway count me in as interested in the above group.

Hello Lorraine, I am using an iPhone and cannot see the mail icon. As a daughter of mum living with lung cancer I would like to be involved if possible. I am submitting my interest please let me know what this involves. Thank you.
