I received 4 cycles of neo-adjuvant chemotherapy, which if successful in shrinking my tumour to a operable size I would receive surgery, fortunately, the chemo worked very well, and I had a upper right lobectomy in January 2009.Had the chemo been less effective,I was to receive radiotherapy.Unfortunately your survey did not allow for that ammount of detail LOL.

Thanks for your comments chaps. Can I check, did the poll let you tick more than one option?

I just had surgery, although adjuvant treatment was discussed at the MDT meeting it was decided that even though I had an aggressive tumour which sometimes recurs ther was no merit for adjuvant chemo at that moment in time.

I was offered the SOCCAR trial which is combined chemotherapy and radiotherapy was hard going but 4 and half years on im still here! went to london for a second opinion as i really wanted surgery and at least they said they may consider surgery if i became unwell not the answer I wanted but at least it wasnt no!
