Her daughter contacted me a short while ago. She died of complications of her COPD, her cancers did not take her.

Her daughter said that SusieJo found a special home here at HealthUnlocked.

Her daughter wrote this, “Thank you, she fought so hard to the end and was an inspiration to many,so very strong. Thank you and all at health unlocked for giving her purpose, hope and friendship. ❤️ I was able to be with her until her last breath and I'm so grateful for that. Blessings to you”

Wow. I’m so shocked. We just talked via Facebook not too long ago. She became friends with all my Facebook friends and I looked forward to her silly gifs and funny posts. That’s really sad but I’m glad her family was with her.

Please tell SusiJo's family how much joy she brought to us with her constant care for others and silly, upbeat posts. Perhaps this is wrong to express, but I am grateful to know it was not the cancer...So sorry she is gone, but knowing it was complications from CPOD leads some of us to believe she would still be here, working to make up giggle and believe that she would still be counting the years. Her daughter should know that many of us will never forget SusieJo's wonderful approach to such a horrible disease. She is missed greatly <3

She was a firecracker! I mean that in a good way. She lite the dark sky of this lung cancer cloud we all walk under. She answered everyone that had fears, questions or general unease. I often read her answers to others. She generously cared about us all. She was enthusiastic about it all also. I often wondered where she got her positivity and upbeat mentality. Of course I tend to be a bit in my own head and somewhat depressed. So when I would read her comments I thought she must have lung cancer lite. She will be missed. Rest in peace now dear lady, your work here is now done. Prayers go out to her family and friends.

God bless you Suzie Jo!

I just joined HU. Thank you Denzie and all of you for your kind words and the love you've shown my Mom. When she almost died a few years ago (from sepsis)she was so mad we intervened we didn't at that time know what her advanced directive meant. But in my heart God moved me to fight for her so that she could keep on being an inspiration, giving hope, and show her that she was here for a purpose for a while longer, he wasn't ready for her yet. You all made her life brighter and more meaningful and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. She was one of the strongest women I know, a fighter for sure, and so very funny, her humor and humor from others also kept her going. I'm very heartbroken and miss her so very much, and I'm lost, I took care of her so long that I don't know what to do with myself, but I'm relieved and so happy she's free of pain, anxiety and fear. We were all, myself, her love and my sister along with my partner and our angel of a hospice nurse were there until she drew her last breath in her safe place, home in her own bed. Again thank you all, love and blessings to you ❤️
