Congratulations! The cancer is going to do what the cancer is going to do. You can control how you handle it but you can’t control the cancer.

Best thing to do is eat a balanced diet. Get some exercise, even just walking a bit is good. Stay atop your follow up tests. These things will give you your best chances.

Fantastic news. Hope you've celebrated this. Now go and live your life... you may find the book 'anti-cancer ,a new way of life' by Dr Servan Schreiber helpful.

So happy for you; I’ve read so many studies and there seems to be kinks to all kinds of cancer with sugar intake. Not that I am any way claiming expertise. I’m just a nurse, but your fight and your attitude which seems wonderful is what I’m sure is giving you the results. Keep it; Congratulations.

Take care

Denzie and I have both been here for many years so whatever we are both doing seems to have worked - I didn’t change one single thing - I still eat red meat - sugar - white rice / wheat - my friends who are health “conscious” cringe at what I’ll eat. Potato chips - ice cream - chocolate 🥰 I don’t drink and I don’t smoke or do any drugs. I had my right lung removed in November 2007 I had NSCLC stage 3a - 16 weeks of chemo and still here. So I’ll agree with my girl that the cancer will do what it will do - and my advise is to just live - LIVE- I was so paranoid for 5 years waiting for the other boot to drop - thank goodness for a great shrink - enjoy every minute that you feel well - and good luck - NED is a great thing!!!!

Is it normal for my bones and joints to ache 24/7 ? I take Motrin but I really feel it in the am and before bed, after 3 rounds of Taxol and in remission this what I suffer from, my mri and scan is scheduled for October 22 and I hope I’m still clear but my aches are killing me I guess Taxol causes this joint pain. Any advice?

Hi Lovey,

How did your scan go? Did the doctor offer any solution for your joint & bone aches?

Thank you for asking, had a mri in July and scan everything negative woo hoo now yesterday I had mri to check any Mets so I’ll know the 29 th my next dr appointment but I will say I did Taxil

3 rounds and it was something else, yes it killed the cancer but my bones hurt all the time, I take hot bath every night and 600mg Motrin twice a day for the pain, pelvis elbows knees ankle omg sire constant but like I said the taxol attacked a lymph node that reoccurrences after brain tuner removed so I had since June 2017 Lobectomy right middle and top lung 30 days radiation then I was cool for a minute then my brain, now I’m Ned unless after the 29 doc say it came back and if it did well time to get my dupes you and fight and I’ll keep

U in tune

You’ve been through it all! My goodness, I admire your strength & I hope your follow up goes well. Scan-xiety is my downfall.
