Great CT report. Nearly 8 years out.

Saw my oncologist today. Good news. The nodule that showed increase size on last November’s CT after I had pneumonitis is unchanged in 3 consecutive three month CTs. The nodule that appeared in February has not changed in size since it first appeared. That one came into being when I had been living in a cloud of Lysol caring for housemates with influenza A. Exposure to chemical fumes can cause nodules to develop or grow and I choose to believe that’s what caused that.

So now I’m off to celebrate my good report with Mexican food and beer! October 11 will mark 8 years living with stage 4 lung adenocarcinoma.

Right now I'm hanging loose and gearing up for my next scan and oncology appointment in October. Hoping for no changes, but fearing the worst. Guess it's scanxiety. Will keep busy and update you when I know more.

Denzie that is fantastic you beat me by two years on the lung c ancer mine is 6 years. But you wrote me teasing me that i had went more years then you with the breast cancer. I am happy no matter what or who beat the other. i consider you my friend and that is the most important thing in the world to me. You just might get your wish about hospice. At that point some days i was ready to go,i learned a very important thing on hospice i wasn't ready to go. i,m not on hospice now they changed from six months to ninty days i didn't get worse so i'm back with the living. So now i get to pick on you awhile longer. Thank you all for the beautiful post that made me very happy. when i first wrote Lung Desease i had said that this was my salvation. i didn't think i had it in me to help others. The lung cancer and emphysema showed me i had the strength to help others to give them hope and i will always give all the hope and love i carry in my heart for all of you and the new ones. With all my love susiejo

SusieJo, you’re stronger than you know. You are the second person i know in 2 months who got stronger under hospice care. I hope that you stick around and give me a hard time for a long time.

Thank you. I remember that lost feeling. First with my mom’s diagnosis then 3 years later mine. I swore I would do all I could to help others get past that horrible feeling.
