Dear Loobs

Thanks for the reply. I forgot they had changed the name. I dont take much notice of it as I only get 57p per week because I have a pension from work and my husband works. I had to appeal for the 57p! But as a matter of principal and because I have paid a full stamp all my working life, I wasnt going to let them get away with it.I was retired early from work by my employers ( the government) doctors as permanently unfit for work and my gp also sent a letter saying I was not capable of any kind of work yet some nurse who I had never met before declared I would be fit for work in 3 mths! I dont know where they get them from.

Cheers,

Jaws

ESA replaces Incapacity Benefit. I have just been awarded it because of my disabilities, however I am expected to attend work-focused interviews to find out what help I need to return to work!! HELLO!!! I have osteoarthritis, fibromyagia, lymphoedema, familial essential tremor, T2 diabetes, vasculitis and depression!! What on earth do you think I could do????? I need help with almost all daily activities, including toiletting. Will you find me someone who is prepared to help me with personal care then?? These people should get real!!!

I also used to receive ESA but 2 weeks before Christmas 2011 I had a phone call saying the ESA was being withdrawn as they said I was fit for work (a district nurses opinion even though my doctor said I was not fit for work). I have osteoarthritis of both knees and spine and arthritis in one ankle and two shoulders. I went to appeal, with the help of a disabled specialist and won the appeal, now they say I have received the maximum I can.
