Revised COVID-19 vaccination guidance

Please note revised guidance… We’ve had lots of enquiries asking if it is safe to have the COVID-19 vaccination if you have lymphoedema, especially if you have upper limb involvement. We have asked Professor Mortimer for his thoughts - see below or at lymphoedema.org/information...

I have lipoedema and lymphoedema and I am struggling to find advice on this aspect. I want to have the injection but I don't know enough about the situation to give me confidence to talk to a G.P. who I have never met as I changed surgeries in February. He did listen when I queried the email that I was sent telling me that I didn't need B12 injections any more and he reinstated them immediately. He has also put a note on my records to prevent any similar issues arising

Your GP would be the best to talk to about this, it looks like they have been helpful before.
